What does the eResearch team do?

This page is no longer maintained, see the replacement on the UWS eResearch web site

The eResearch team at UWS works on a project basis – we aim to work to explore and survey new research techniques and technologies, in partnership with intrepid researchers, then assist the operational parts of the university to turn those cutting-edge techniques into supported ‘business as usual’ services.

The eResearch team:

  • Works with major stakeholders;
  • Researchers (via the office of the Pro Vice Chancellor, Research),
  • Office of Research Services,
  • Information Technology Services (ITS),
  • the University Library,
  • to do these things;

    • establish eResearch infrastructure at UWS for data, computing and collaboration,
    • embed eResearch in the organization (particularly helping ITS to build services for research),
    • connect UWS researchers to national research infrastructure, and partner with research teams on specific projects.
